Students are being admitted to Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) after passing the dope test. Today, Tuesday (January 4) morning, the authorities started the admission process for the Honors 1st year.
Meanwhile, the university has set up a temporary camp for dope tests. The rest of the admission process can be completed only if the applicants pass the test there.
In this regard, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) Vice-Chancellor Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed said, “The university administration is in a strict position against drugs. The student must pass a dope test before being admitted. We will not admit any drug-addicted student to the university.”
Moreover, admission has started in SUST with the A-1 unit of the science department. This time a total of 30,238 students applied for 1,056 seats in A-1, A-2, and B units.
Yesterday, Monday (January 3) in the afternoon, the president of the admission committee, Professor. Mushtaq Ahmed said that on the first day, the A-1 unit of the science department has been called for admission from 1 to 350 in the merit list. Then on Wednesday (January 5) in the merit list from 351 to 750, on Thursday (January 7) in A-1 unit 751 to 955, and A-2 unit from 1 to 30 were called.
Then on Sunday (January 9) the merit list from the humanities department in the B unit from 1 to 299 and on Monday (January 10) the science department students in the B unit were called for admission from 1 to 220 and from the business department from 1 to 63. Then on Tuesday (January 11), the students who got a place in the quota will be admitted.
Dr. Mushtaq said, “This time we have made a list based on the students’ application based on the results of the bunch of tests. The rank of each of the students who took part in the admission test is given on the website https://admission.sust.edu.bd. Not everyone on the list can be admitted. Students will be called according to the list rank for specific seats in the university.”
