The appointment examination of assistant teachers for government primary schools is likely to be held in February if the coronavirus situation does not decrease in the country. This time, 32,577 teachers would be recruited in primary schools.
Though the examination was scheduled to be held in December last, it deferred to January due to SSC examinations. But arranging the examination cannot be possible because of different complexities including book distribution and class relaunch this month.
The technical committee has already held a meeting in this regard. According to decision of the meeting, the recruitment examination is likely to be held in the first week of the next month (February). However, the exam may be deferred if the coronavirus situation decreases further.
Mahbubur Rahman Tuhin, Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, said, “Though the exams were supposed to be held in several phases to be launched from the first week of the current month, it has been postponed. Now the decision has been taken to arrange the examination in the next month. However, it totally depends on the coronavirus situation.”
