The Department of Health Education and Family Welfare is going to sit in a meeting next Monday (January 17) to determine the time of admission test in medical and dental colleges in 2021-22 academic year. The issue of short syllabus may also be finalized in that meeting.
According to sources, the meeting has called to decide when the medical admission test and dental admission test will be held this year. The meeting will be chaired by the new Secretary of Health Education and Family Welfare. Saiful Hasan Badal. The meeting will also be attended by the Director General of Health Education, Additional Director General (Education) and Director (Medical Education and Manpower Development).
According to sources, the admission test for medical and dental colleges in the 2021-22 academic year is being planned for next March or April. However, the implementation of this plan may not be possible as the rate of corona infection in the country has increased at an alarming rate. The meeting has been called to finalize the month in which the test can be taken.
“We have a meeting next Monday,” an official from the Department of Health Education and Family Welfare, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told The Daily Campus. The meeting may decide on the date of admission test. The meeting will also discuss whether the examination will be short or according to the entire syllabus.
Meanwhile, a reliable source in the Department of Health Education said that they are suffering from indecision on whether the admission test for 2021-22 academic year will be short or in the whole syllabus. One side thinks that the admission test should be taken in the light of the whole syllabus. According to another party, since the HSC examination is in the light of the short syllabus, the admission test also needs to be taken in the light of this syllabus.
