Dhaka University (DU) has published the merit list for admission in the first year 2020-21 session of seven government colleges in the capital.
The merit list was published on the Dhaka University Admissions website on Sunday (January 16) at 9 pm.

Earlier, the students who had passed the admission test of science faculty, commerce faculty, arts and social science faculty of seven colleges from December 5, 2021, logged on to the admissions website of Dhaka University and chose colleges and subjects. College and subject allocation results will be given on the basis of students’ application and results.
Admission test of Commerce and Science faculties of seven colleges was held on November 5 and 6 last year and Arts and Social Sciences unit on November 17. The pass rate in the admission test in the Faculty of Commerce is about 73 percent, the pass rate in the Faculty of Science is 57.70 percent and the pass rate in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences is 67.9 percent.
Incidentally, in order to improve the quality of conventional education, on 16 February 2017, on the direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, seven traditional and old government colleges of the capital Dhaka were affiliated to Dhaka University. Since the affiliation, Dhaka University has been taking care of the issues related to education in these colleges including admission of students in undergraduate and postgraduate classes, preparation of questions, taking examinations, publication of results, issuance of final certificates.
