The pre-scheduled examinations of National University, Islamic Arabic University, Open University and seven colleges affiliated to Dhaka University will not be postponed. The Ministry of Education has informed that these examinations will be held in accordance with the health rules. The decision was taken at a meeting of the education minister with the vice-chancellors of the concerned universities on Wednesday night (February 2).
According to sources in the Ministry of Education on Thursday (February 3), although the holidays of the new educational institutions have been extended till February 20, pre-scheduled examinations of National University, Islamic Arabic University, Open University and seven colleges affiliated to Dhaka University will be held regularly. These tests will be taken in accordance with the hygiene rules.
Meanwhile, the National University has announced a revised date for the postponed examination in the event of an outbreak of coronavirus. The test will start from February 7. A revised detailed schedule of all examinations is given on the National University website www.nu.ac.bd.
As the examinations of seven government colleges affiliated to Dhaka University were postponed on January 21, the students took to the streets to protest. They then lifted the blockade on the assurance of Education Minister Dipu Moni.
