Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said, “There is no reason to worry that coronavirus will spread in the country again. Ongoing educational institutions will continue.”
She said, “However, the government will introduce a national education policy to carry out education activities in case of any disaster. A task force has been formed for this and a national policy has been formulated and sent to the prime minister. We hope to get it approved this month. It will be possible to continue the educational activities.”
The education minister was responding to a question from reporters after the inauguration of the ICU unit at the 250-bed General Hospital in Chandpur on Friday (March 18).
She further said, “Several government ministries are working to keep commodity prices stable in the country. In the meantime, the market situation has returned to control.”
Awami League joint general secretary Dr Dipu Moni said, “Healthcare has changed radically in Chandpur as well as across the country. In addition to the introduction of ICU in this hospital, in future many more facilities including dialysis center will be added.”
