The High Court has fixed Monday (February 28) for hearing on the petition filed by the popular Dhaka film actress Porimoni. The court on the same day sought to quash the order to frame charges in the case under the Narcotics Control Act.
A bench of the High Court comprising Justice Mostafa Zaman Islam and Justice Md. Selim passed the order in a virtual hearing on Sunday (February 27th). Advocate Zahirul Islam (ZI) Khan Panna appeared for the bride in the court on the same day. Advocate Syeda Nasrin and Advocate Shahin Uzzaman Shahin were also present.
On January 30, Porimoni filed an application in the concerned branch of the High Court seeking quashing of the order framing charges in the case under the Narcotics Control Act. At the same time, the application also sought dismissal of the case.
