No one has died of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. However, 239 people were identified as infected with the virus during this period. The total number of identities in the district stood at one lakh four thousand 428 people and the death toll stood at one thousand 335 people.
The information came from a report released by the Chittagong Civil Surgeon’s Office on Saturday (January 15) morning.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Ilias Chowdhury said that in the last 24 hours, samples of 1,944 people were tested in different labs of Chittagong and corona germs were detected in the bodies of 239 people. The rate of infection is about 12.29 percent compared to the test. Among the identified, 218 are residents of the city and 21 are residents of different upazilas.
He added that in the last 24 hours, 52 people were in Fauzdarhat BITID lab and six in Chittagong Veterinary University lab. 59 in Imperial Hospital Lab, 50 in Chevron Hospital Lab, 17 in Chittagong Maternal and Child Hospital Lab, 20 in Medical Center Hospital Lab, 15 in Epic Healthcare Lab, one in Lab Aid Hospital Lab, 14 in Asian Specialized Hospital Lab and five in Shah Amanat International airport lab.
