Dhaka North City Corporation’s (DNCC) mosquito killer (fogger machine) machine fire has burnt the faces of two children.
The incident took place at East Kurmitola Camp, Begun Tiller No. 12, Pallabi in Dhaka on Wednesday evening. One of the injured children was identified as Sohan (8). The name of the other was not identified.
Sohan’s father told The Asian Tribune that Anwar, a mosquito killer in Ward 2, was giving mosquito repellent in the evening. At that time many children were standing around. At one point, when the machine is pressed hard, the heat from the fire emanates directly on the face of my son and another child and different parts of the body. The two of them glowed.

“Then we took the two to the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka. My son’s face is completely dazzled. The condition of the other child is also critical. Mosquito killer Anwar escaped after the incident.”
Sajjad Hossain, 2nd ward councilor of DNCC, told The Asian Tribune that the incident took place in my ward. The area is a slum and densely populated. Maybe the incident happened inadvertently.
“The families of the two children came to me,” he said. I will bear all the expenses of their treatment. And I’m trying to find out who the mosquito exterminator was.
