Coast Guard seizes 2.5 kg crystal meth (ice) at Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar. Its market value is said to be around Tk 12 crore 50 lakh. However, the Coast Guard members could not arrest anyone at this time.
Lieutenant Commander Abdur Rahman, a media officer at the Bangladesh Coast Guard headquarters, said this.
Lieutenant Commander Abdur Rahman said, “A special operation led by Teknaf Station Commander Lieutenant Commander M Naeem ul Haq was launched on Friday morning on the basis of secret information.” At that time, the members of the Coast Guard saw a man coming towards Zhaoban with a bag from sea shore. Seeing the suspicious movement, the man dropped the bag and ran to the locality. Two kilograms and 500 grams of crystal meth or ice was recovered from the bag.

The seized ice has been handed over to Teknaf Model Police Station, said Abdur Rahman.
