Mild cold is prevailing in some districts of the country. There will be a mild cold wave for another day or two. Today (January 17) Meteorological Department official said Md. Abdul Mannan informed this information to The Asian Tribune.
He said, “Mild cold wave is prevailing in Dinajpur, Panchagarh, Kurigram, Chuadanga, and Moulvibazar. There is a possibility of a mild cold wave in these districts for one to two more days.
“The weather will be dry across the country,” the official said. At the same time, there is a possibility of fog in the river basin and the north from midnight to dawn. There is no big forecast at the moment.”
Meteorologist Abdul Mannan said, “Personally, there is a possibility of drizzling on January 20 and 21 across the country. But we have not yet predicted the matter. During the rainy season, the temperature will rise slightly. At the end of the rain, the temperature will drop again. There is a possibility of another cold spell after the rains.”
According to the department’s forecast, a mild cold wave is expected in Kurigram and Panchagarh, which will continue. This cold wave will spread to other areas of the Rangpur division and some areas of the Rajshahi and Khulna divisions. Nighttime temperatures can drop by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius across the country and daytime temperatures can remain almost unchanged.
Today the temperature in Dhaka is 15 degrees Celsius. In the last 24 hours, the lowest temperature in the country was 9.7 degrees Celsius in Tetulia.
