Married at the age of 90, Mohammad Ismail Hossain, a five-time former president of the Comilla Bar Association, has come to the discussion through social media.
On Monday (January 17), he married Minwara Akter, 40, of Deshwalipatti in the city. There were 50-60 bridegrooms.
Advocate Ishaq Siddiqui, the eldest son of Mohammad Ismail Hossain, said, “Our mother Mahmuda Begum died six years ago. At this age we are also busy with family. A woman is needed to see the father. So we married the father with the consent of the brothers and sisters. Dad is also very happy because of our interest.”

He further said, “the bride and groom go in 5 microbuses and 1 private car. The cabin has been 5 lakh taka. Of this, 2 lakh 50 thousand taka has been recovered. Dad is asking for blessing from everyone.”
