The sky of the capital was cloudy throughout the day. Once or twice the sun peeked behind the clouds, but it was lost in an instant. As a result, the shining sun was not seen. A few drops of rain also fell in the capital at noon. However, the drizzle has started in different parts of Dhaka around 9:45 pm. This has further increased the severity of winter.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, such weather is likely to prevail in the country including the capital Dhaka in the next two to three days. Night and day temperatures may drop slightly.
Sunday (January 23) is the 9th day of the month of Magh. On this day, the minimum temperature in Dhaka has risen from 15.2 degrees Celsius to 15.6 degrees Celsius.
Meteorologist MD. Bazlur Rashid said, “In the next 24 hours from 9 am on Sunday, Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, many places in Barisal division and some places in Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chittagong divisions may receive temporary rain with gusts or thunderstorms. In addition, light to moderate fog is expected from midnight to early morning in some parts of the country.”
During this time, the night temperature may remain almost unchanged across the country and the day temperature may drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius, the meteorologist said.
The meteorological department has also forecast that the night temperature may decrease slightly in the next three days and the tendency of rainfall may decrease towards the end of this period.
