A train hit a man in the rail gate area of the capital’s Karwan Bazar named Monir Hossain (48) who was killed.
Monir Hossain is a resident of Noakhali district. At present, he used to live in the raw material yard of Karwaran Bazar.
The accident happened around 4 pm on Monday (January 24). He was rushed to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMC) in critical condition. Around 4.15 pm, The doctor on duty declared him dead.
Al-Amin, who brought Monir to Hospital, said that Monir was seriously injured when he was hit by a Kamalapur-bound train from the airport. He was immediately rescued and taken to Dhaka Medical College where doctors declared him dead.
Bachchu Mia, the inspector in charge of the police camp at DMC, said, “The autopsied body is kept at the DMC morgue. The matter has been reported to the concerned police station.”
