The incidence of winter has been increasing in Panchagarh for the last few days. The district has been experiencing moderate cold for five days in a row due to the cold Himalayan winds and thick fog blowing from the north. As a result, low income people are in trouble.
Today (February 1) at 9 am in Panchagarh Tentulia minimum temperature has been recorded at 7.1 degrees Celsius. Which is the lowest temperature in the whole country. The district has been experiencing low temperature and moderate cold for four days in a row.

The poor, helpless and cold-stricken people of the district have suffered the most in the severe winter. In winter, many people are returning home without finding work. However, they complained that even though winter clothes are distributed every year, they do not get them.
The meteorological office said the district recorded the lowest temperature in the country for 20 days last January. Due to the proximity of the Himalayas to Panchagarh, the incidence of winter is high in this district every year. However, the temperature has been fluctuating in the house for 8-6 degrees for a few days.
According to district administration sources, distribution of winter clothes among real poor, helpless and cold-stricken people has started in 43 unions and 3 municipalities of 5 upazilas of the district this year as well. About 40,000 winter clothes have been distributed so far. However, the civil society claims that the winter clothes distributed are less than the demand.
