President Md. Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have expressed deep grief over the death of Lata Mangeshkar, a prominent musician of the subcontinent.
In a separate condolence message on Sunday (February 6th), the President and Prime Minister wished peace to the departed soul of musician Lata and extended their deepest condolences to her bereaved family.
Lata Mangeshkar breathed her last at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Sunday morning after being hospitalized for nearly four weeks. She was 92 years old.
The musician was taken to ventilator support on Saturday morning due to deteriorating physical condition. Then the doctors said, Lata is responding a bit. She is undergoing various therapies. But the voice magician did not return from there.
Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on January 11 after contracting covid. She also had pneumonia. She was kept in the ICU from the beginning. On January 30, the artist’s negative report came. But in the end she succumbed to death due to various problems and old age.
Lata Mangeshkar had been admitted to the hospital more than once before due to deteriorating physical condition. But every time she lit the lamp of hope for millions of fans and admirers and returned home healthy.
