Two US-based organization have given recognition the crimes committed by the Pakistani forces during Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971 as genocide.
The Washington DC-based NGO ‘Genocide Watch’ said in the declaration in commemoration of 50 years of the genocide that the crimes committed by the Military Forces of Pakistan against the Bengali population in Bangladesh in 1971 as genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes.
Similarly, US-based Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention recognized the brutal slaughter of Bangladeshis by the Pakistani occupation forces in 1971 as a genocide.

Foreign Affairs Ministry made the disclosure on Sunday (February 06).
The recognition of the two organizations will accelerate to secure international support easily for March 25 as Genocide Day.
