A Bangladeshi expatriate has been shot dead by unidentified gunmen near the Queens and Brooklyn border crossings in New York.
The deceased was known as Modassar Khandaker (36).
The incident took place around 12pm local time on Wednesday near the junction of Forbel Street and Glenmore Avenue in the Cypress Hills of Brooklyn.
According to police, the critically injured Modassar was rushed to a local hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
Brooklyn police said an investigation has been launched into the incident. An unidentified gunman shot him when he was returning home from work.
A local expatriate Bangladeshi said that Modassar Khandaker is survived by his wife and a four-year-old son.
