Two people, including a student of Dhaka University (DU), were killed when they lost control at the Gazipur-Chandra highway bridge in Gazipur.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Aziz Mollah, 25, eldest son of Comilla Sadar Bashir Hossain Mollah, a student of Dhaka University, and Apurba Nikhil, 29, son of Labu of Haluaghat, Mymensingh.
Police and locals said they saw two bodies lying side by side on the road in the Mymile area on Tuesday (February 15th) afternoon. There are no houses or shops on the spot. After seeing the victims, people called Konabari police station and the police came to the spot and recovered the bodies and sent them to the morgue.
GMP Konabari police sub-inspector (SI) said. Imtiaz said the driver and occupant of Dhaka Metro-L-38-2716 died on the spot in a road accident.
It is believed that they lost control and fell on the spot and died due to head injuries. The bodies of the deceased were recovered and sent to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
