Police have recovered the body of a manager named Saifur Rahman (33) from a factory in Ashulia, Savar. His body was found inside a Baghdad packaging factory owned by Abdul Hasnat in the Battala area of Jamgarh, Ashulia, around 2 pm on Saturday (March 19). He had been the manager of the factory for about 4 years.
The deceased was identified as Saifur Rahman, son of late Badiur Rahman of East Shekherpura area of Ramganj police station in Laxmipur. He wrote a note before committing suicide. He got married about 1 month ago and started his family life.
He wrote in the note- I have no pride, no anger towards anyone. For God’s sake, I love everyone. I specifically requested that my body be delivered to my mother. Everyone will pray for me, that God may accept me as a means to an end and forgive me. Rafiq Dulabhai is a very good man. Whenever I had a problem, Rafiq would go to his brother and stand by his side like his own brother. He used to advise by keeping it close to his chest. Brother, you will try to keep Simon as your younger brother. Simon, you will respect Rafiq Bhai like a father. Pray for me that Allah may forgive me. He writes that his wife intends to start a family life very soon. Pray for me that Allah may forgive me.
According to the police, based on the information of the workers, the door of a room of the factory was broken and his hanging body was recovered. He is thought to have survived an earlier attempt to oust him following a family dispute.
Ashulia police sub-inspector Delwar Hossain said the body of the deceased was recovered and sent to Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital in the capital. Further legal action is being taken in this regard.
