The fire broke out in slum No. 9 of Kalyanpur in the capital.
The fire broke out at 8:50 pm on Sunday (March 20), according to the Fire Service and Civil Defense. Fourteen units of the fire service are working to control the fire.
Shahjahan Sardar, officer-in-charge of the media branch of the Fire Service and Civil Defense, confirmed the information.

“We got the news of the fire in the control room of the fire service at 8:50 pm,” he said. Later, four units from the nearby station started working on fire control from 9 pm. So far 14 units are working on fire control.
Once the fire is under control, it will be possible to report the cause of the fire later. No casualties were reported so far.
