In Chapainawabganj, detectives arrested a man named Anshur Ali (40) with 2 kg of heroin.
He was arrested on Friday (March 25) at around 4:30 pm after raiding his home in Shekhalipur Ravanpara of Shahjahanpur union in Sadar Upazila. The arrested Anshur is the son of Zakatullah Islam of the village.
Chapainawabganj district detective police officer in charge (OC) Babul Uddin Sardar has confirmed this.
He said that based on secret information we can know that there is a huge amount of heroin in Anshur Ali’s house in Shekhalipur Ravanpara of Shahjahanpur Union. Later, a raid was carried out at his residence around 4:30 pm. He was arrested with two kilograms of heroin.
OC Babul Uddin Sardar further said that the estimated value of the seized 2 kg of heroin is Tk 2 crore. Legal action has been taken against Anshur in the concerned police station.
