The President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina congratulated the team management including all the members of the Bangladesh cricket team for winning the first test match against New Zealand.
This information was given in a congratulatory message from the press section of the President’s office on Wednesday (January 5).
On the other hand, in a separate congratulatory message sent from the Press Wing of the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina congratulated the Bangladesh Cricket Team on winning the first test against New Zealand.
Bangladesh held New Zealand to 328 in the first innings of the Test. Later they made 458 runs on the scoreboard. The Blackcaps started the second innings after trailing by 130 runs.
However, the hosts could not take advantage of the bowling cannon of the Tiger bowlers. This time they was all out for 169 runs. The target of 40 runs stood in front of Bangladesh. On the fifth and final day of the match, Bangladesh reached the target with 8 wickets in hand.
