The robot landed on the streets of Japan to maintain order and safety on the roads. The country’s security agency SECOM has developed a robot that ensures the safety and order of open space. The robot’s name is ‘Cocobo’.
Based on AI or Artificial Intelligence, the robot is patrolling and inspecting areas in Japan instead of security guards. The maximum speed of this robot is 6 kilometers per hour. The Cocobo robot can provide visual, audio and even smoke warnings. The robot can catch criminals and suspects with the help of cutting-edge technology.

According to a report in the Japanese technology media DesignBoom, a robot named ‘Cocobo’ has been developed at a design factory in SECOM. SECOM has developed this robot in collaboration with Kota Neju of Jung Design and Loftwork.
These robots are based on the concepts of compatibility, dignity and friendship with open space. So that Cocobo can integrate efficiently into daily life. The name ‘Cocobo’ comes from the ‘Cognitive Cooperation Robot’.

Cocobo can walk automatically on patrol roads. Its artificial intelligence analysis is based on real-time images taken with onboard cameras. It is capable of detecting everything from dirty to discarded items. Cocobo has a maximum speed of 6 km per hour and steps up to 50 mm.

This waterproof robot can run outside and on inaccessible roads. It can automatically avoid collisions by identifying various obstacles on the road. Cocobo can provide 3 hours of continuous battery backup. It can also automatically turn on the charging stand when needed through an energy level monitor.
Cocobo provides audio and visual warnings if a suspect is identified. Again, if the suspect has a chance to escape, it can also stop him by emitting smoke. During Cocobo’s inspection work, an arm can be attached to inspect places that are difficult to reach, especially under benches or behind or under vending machines.
Cocobo Cloud also has access to various data. At his fingertips, it also has information on security measures, surveillance camera footage, elevators, electric locks and other facilities in the area. With the help of humans, this new robot can realize efficient and quality improvements in large-scale security operations.
