Israel maintains racist policies against Palestinians. They have carried out extrajudicial killings by seizing their land and property and denying them citizenship.
Amnesty International, a non-governmental organization working on human rights, has raised these issues in a new report. These issues are covered in a report of more than 200 pages made over a period of more than four years. News from Middle East Eye.
Amnesty International has called for an investigation by the International Criminal Court. However, Israel has rejected the report as anti-Semitic and erroneous. Amnesty says Israel has established a repressive institutional system that applies authority over the Palestinian people.
Israel’s policy, law, and behavior towards the Palestinians inside Israel and in the occupied West Bank are tantamount to ‘apartheid’.
In international law, such ‘apartheid’, ie, the establishment of the authority and superiority of one nation over another through torture and discrimination, is considered a crime against humanity.
The report called on the international community to suspend arms and economic aid to Israel. It added that the International Criminal Court should investigate possible crimes against humanity that could have been committed by both Israel and Hamas during a conflict between them.
Palestinian officials in both the West Bank and Gaza welcomed the report.
