Michigan 4-H Expands Cultural Exchange Program to Xiamen, China
Michigan 4-H is spreading its wings and embracing new horizons as it partners with Lujiang New Town Elementary School in Xiamen, China, for the Children's Visual Letter Art Exchange program. This exciting initiative aims to connect children across the globe through the universal language of art, fostering cultural understanding and appreciation.
The Children's Visual Letter Art Exchange program invites children to create visual letters using paintings or drawings to communicate with their peers worldwide. These visual letters transcend language barriers and serve as a powerful tool for storytelling and sharing ideas and emotions.
- The medium of visual letters bridges the gap between children from different cultures, allowing them to connect on a deeper level.
Michigan 4-H has a rich history of engaging in visual letter exchanges, having successfully collaborated with the Shandong Province in China for over 30 years. Now, with the addition of Lujiang New Town Elementary School as a partner, Michigan 4-H is poised to continue this tradition for another three decades!
