A Helping Hand from the MCLA Community


Recognizing the need for support during this challenging period, various clubs and organizations at MCLA came together to host a midterm study night on February 21st in the Freel Library. The event aimed to provide students with a conducive environment for studying and access to tutors for assistance.

Students who attended the study night had the opportunity to engage with tutors from the writing studio and math tutors, as well as study independently at reserved tables. The event created a supportive atmosphere that encouraged students to focus and dedicate time to their academic responsibilities.

Mo Piantoni, a student at MCLA, shared their positive experience at the study night, highlighting the importance of having designated time for studying. Piantoni expressed gratitude towards the school for organizing the event and hoped for a similar initiative during finals week.

In addition to providing academic support, the study night also offered students snacks and raffles to make the experience more enjoyable. Snacks like chips, crackers, and sodas were available, along with raffles for $25 gift cards to popular retailers.
